What excites you when formulating?
'I'm driven by innovative creations that are ingredient focused and inspired by technology; the products need to provide real, visual results. For me it's not about following trends or creating fad products for mass production, but creating products that really work to reduce signs of ageing in every aspect from pigmentation to wrinkles.'
What's the 111SKIN skincare philosophy?
'The products need to be results-driven yet safe. My clients visit the clinic to achieve visible but natural looking results, so similarly our skincare line should reflect this. We're also committed to staying very 'clean' as far as nasty ingredients are concerned and our products don't contain any silicones, parabens, sulphates or harmful substances - only ingredients that have efficacy.'
Why is the mask such an exciting addition to the line?
'The 111SKIN Crystalising Energy Mask breathes life back into tired, sallow skin. We're always looking for the latest innovation, and this mask harnesses cutting-edge Japanese technology - it's the first application of crystalisation outside of a clinical environment.'
How does the mask differ from the existing serum?
'The mask is a combination of two innovative components that create carbonic acid, which crystalises to form a protective layer, allowing ingredients to sink in effectively. The reaction results in the production of carbon dioxide, which encourages the body to flush skin with oxygen. This process boosts elastin and collagen production, accelerating the skin's ability to repair itself. A marriage of indulgence and science, the result is refined, revived, illuminated and tightened skin.'
