Diptyque Orphéon captures the atmosphere of the now closed late-night bar, with notes of tobacco mixed with makeup powder, along with subtle notes of jasmine. The perfume notes of this Diptyque perfume capture the nostalgia of what the Parisian nightlife used to be in the early 60s, in a place where the Diptyque founders used to meet and share anecdotes.
The French brand created this scent for its sixtieth anniversary, now that the original Diptyque store has expanded where the bar used to be situated. It’s an homage to this legendary place.

Beautiful scent
I received this perfume as a free gift with my last Space NK order. Most perfumes I try give me a headache very quickly but I sprayed this in the air and I really liked it so decided to give it a go. I have worn it quite a few times now, it's a beautiful feminine scent. I will definitely purchase a full sized bottle.

Interesting scent
For me Diptyque candles are a luxury treat. I haven't tried their perfumes before and was excited to receive a sample of Orpheon when I made a purchase at Space NK. I'm not very good at describing scents, but this one does change from the initial application to when it has settled down on your skin. It's quite potent and lasts but am not totally sure it's for me. Scent is very personal I know - there's nothing wrong with this perfume, just that it doesn't wow me enough for the price tag. Would be happy to receive it as a gift though.

Uniquely Powdery
I love this scent but I feel it could be quite divisive. It is intensely powdery and floral with a very prominent juniper note. It is intoxicating and intriguing. It dries down to a warm and smoky cedar that stays far longer than other Diptyque fragrances I've tried.

Staple Perfume
I have purchased this over and over again for my husband. It works very well on his skin, lasts for hours and deepens over time. You can smell on clothes for days. He loves a woody, tobacco perfume and this comes out on top. In my opinion, a great winter perfume!

On the fence
I've heard so many good things about this perfume. I received a large sample as part of a diptyque discovery set. On first sniff I didn't like it at all, but it smells different on the skin and grew on me a lot. Its very sophisticated but I'm 33 and decided it was just a bit too mature for me personally. But this is a completely personal take. I'll probably come back to it in a few years! Fleur de peau is similar but a bit fresher in my opinion
