Too heavy
Oil is a bit too heavy for my skin. While it does provide hydration and the retinoid is effective for improving skin texture and reducing fine lines, the oil itself feels too rich and greasy. It takes a while to absorb, and I found that it can leave my skin feeling oily the next morning, which isn't ideal for my combination skin. It might work better for someone with drier skin, but for me, it just felt a bit too heavy. The blue tint is unique, and I appreciate the retinoid benefits, but the texture makes it hard to incorporate into my routine regularly. Overall, it’s a good product, but not the best fit for my skin type.

It works!
I used this product throughout the winter months. It was my go to product for night time on those times where I felt like my skin just needed something extra. It sinks in really well to the point I feel like I could have used it during the day- just the blue tint put me off doing that!

Why is this blue?
I love Sunday Riley oils, a lot of fantastic plant based clean ingredients but to my disappointment this contains violet and blue dyes, Violet 2 is a synthetic dye produced from petroleum or coal tar sources for example so why would this be needed as an ingredient is beyond me.

Great
I got a mini of this in my birthday gift, never thought of buying this but, I really do like it. It is not sticky and does not feel heavy, and I use it and night and it helps my skin stay soft and moisturised throughout the night. Retinol takes a while to work so havent seen those benefits yet. Please note I have dry skin so not sure how this will work with other skin types.
