luxe tinted lip balm
I love a bold red lipstick (I've been wearing NARS Jungle Red since the mid 2000s) but on the weekend when you're dressed casually and only wearing tinted moisturizer a tinted balm is just the way to go. I own a dozen of them across colour families (i.e reds, corals, nudes, pink/rose, plum/plum) so I have just as many options as lipsticks. The thing with tinted balm is that it doesn't HAVE to be expensive to be great (think Burt's Bees, Honest Beauty Lanolips, Maybelline) but there are time when you feel like treating yourself. That's when I reach for Chantcaille, Givenchy, and now NARS. Dolce Vita is an almost exact match to my natural lip colour, it's just gives them a little something extra in a buttery, moisturizing formula. No stickiness, no glossiness. Gorgeous packaging too. The colour is so perfect for me that I think it will always be in my kit.
