Best New Fragrances For Autumn 2023
Tom Ford
Café Rose, £ 108,00I wanted to kick off my best new fragrances roundup with Tom Ford’s latest offering, Café Rose, because Tom Ford never launches new perfumes and I am very excited about this one. It’s warm, a little bit spicy, and seriously elegant. There are sweet coffee notes blended with sandalwood and a dash of frankincense. It’s the kind of scent that screams quiet luxury to me. Plus, the bottle is the epitome of chic.
SHOP NOWE11EVEN
E11even Fragrance Oil, £ 80,00Cat Deeley’s e11even fragrance (pronounced eleven) is truly something special. Together with A-list makeup artist Amanda Grossman, Cat has created a stunning scent made with natural ingredients and essential oils that is easy to wear and has the power to minimise stress levels. When you first apply the rollerball, you’re hit with floral notes of geranium and rose, but as the scent dries you catch the soothing amber and patchouli blend.
SHOP NOWAcqua Di Parma
Zafferano Eau De Parfum, £ 250,00Acqua di Parma rarely launches a new fragrance, but when the luxury Italian brand does, it does it properly. Zafferano Eau de Parfum is an ode to saffron. The spice is wrapped up in a blend of jasmine sambac, orange blossom and vanilla and tonka bean with a flash of zesty bergamot and coriander seeds. It is a feast for your senses and one of my favourite new fragrances for an evening out.
SHOP NOWEllis Brooklyn
Florist Eau De Parfum, £ 32,00The name spells it out, but this is definitely one for the floral fans. I love the way Ellis Brookyn’s founder, Bee Shapiro takes classic notes and gives them a fresh, modern twist. There’s a full garden of blooms in this fragrance, including lily of the valley, jasmine sambac, tuberose petals and golden gardenia, yet the addition of sandalwood, cedarwood and ambrox gives this scent a very cool, understated edge. I also fully appreciate the unintentional Barbie-core packaging. Bravo, Bee!
SHOP NOWDiptyque
L'Eau Papier Eau de Toilette, £ 95,00I know this isn’t new, but I’m still not over Diptyque L’Eau Papier – it has the makings of a modern classic, in my opinion. From the warm, reassuring white masks to the delicate rice steam and uplifting mimosa notes, this perfume feels comfortable yet elegant. It’s probably very obvious, but I genuinely adore this fragrance.
