Is The Ordinary's Multi Peptide Lash and Brow Serum Transformative?

The truth is, we owe a lot to The Ordinary. It’s thanks to this brand that many of us learnt about the efficacy of stripped back ingredients and that great skincare doesn’t necessarily have to cost the earth – it’s about finding out which doses and percentages that work for each and every one of us. The Ordinary, has essentially, become one of those trusty skincare lines with purse-pleasing products we can always rely on (my favourites in particular are the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution, Squalane Cleanser and Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%).
Seeing what The Ordinary does next is like watching one of your favourite sportspeople in a competition: exciting, intriguing and queue-forming. A most recent example is The Ordinary’s Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum – my beauty curiosity peaked when it was revealed that The Ordinary would be bringing out its very own lash and brow serum.
Top Line On The Ordinary’s Multi Peptide Lash and Brow Serum
With a relatively narrow range of options available, lash and brow serums are still, for the most part, a niche and unexplored territory for a lot of us. Hence my enthusiasm when it came to testing this new-to-the-market product. Following the footsteps of the brand’s acclaimed Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density, this new serum’s premise is simple – it promotes the look of thicker, fuller and healthier lashes and brows.

Hair colour: Fair
Goal: Reverse damage from previous treatments

My lashes have been on a journey! After frequent back-to-back LVL/lash lift treatments, I noticed my lashes thinning and becoming sparse in some areas. At one point they were snapping in the middle and had become stumpy! I have been trying my best to limit my lash lift sessions now, and have noticed small improvements. I had never tried a lash serum before this one despite my friends recommending it to help grow my lashes back.
I was pleasantly surprised by the texture of the lash serum! I found that a little goes a long way - just 2 dips covers both eyes and brows. The applicator is perfect for getting right into the lash line as it is super fine and delicate. My only concern with it is that it has started to splay slightly which has reduced the accuracy over time. I like to use it (most) mornings and night and after a month I am starting to see some results in the health of my lashes. I will definitely keep using it to see if I notice nay long terms results. I would recommend this to anyone who is also trying to get their lashes to a healthy state after doing treatments.

Hair colour: Dark
Goal: Help with sparse areas
I used to take great care of my brows and have them threaded every three to four weeks but these days I have less ‘me’ time and it’s been one of those things that I’ve let slip. So, my brows are definitely less defined and a little wilder than they once were, but I’m okay with that. I’m lucky, I think, that they’re quite a nice natural shape and thickness. I do have a few sparser parts, so I was excited to see if the serum would help with that. My lashes are dark but not particularly long.
Before trying the lash serum, I was concerned that it might sting putting it so close to my eyes. I often struggle with eye creams that migrate overnight and I tend to wake up with sore, puffy eyes but this didn’t sting. Luckily, you don’t even notice it’s there. I would compare the style of brush to an old-school lip brush, which I didn’t find it that easy to use. It’s quite hard so I felt like I was poking my lash line at times. Not the easiest tool to run along the lash line. After using it for a month, I can't say I have seen noticeable results but I will keep using it as I'm hopeful it will help with the spars areas I have in my brows.
The Verdict On The Ordinary Multi Peptide Lash and Brow Serum
Pros: It's a product that fits easily into your morning and evening routine. The texture is very light and doesn't feel heavy on the lashes, and still allows you to wear your everyday mascara.
Cons: The applicator is not the easiest to apply the product and can start to separate after using it for a while. It won't stop you from using it but just something to keep in mind.
