my kind of girls' night out fragrance
This is a very sexy fragrance and absolutely perfect for a night out, I wore it for a night of bar hopping on my friend's birthday. After I spritzed a little on my friend's exact words were "why does that smell like some of the most fun times in my life?" I tend to think of fragrances as being more for a particular season rather than for day or night, but if you wore this to the office during the daytime your colleagues would probably think you hadn't gone home. Floral Street describes their fragrances as existing on a continuum from "light" to "dark" and this, along with Black Lotus are their "darkest" scents. But whereas Black Lotus has a very smokey quality that borders too closely on cigarettes for me, Ylang Ylang Espresso has just a touch of smokiness from the guaiac wood in the base. Black Lotus is for the girl about town that smokes a pack a day, whereas Ylang Ylang Espresso is for the girl who only smokes on nights out with her friends. The combination of pepper, coffee, cacao, and cream is deliciously decadent, exactly like dessert after a meal. I like very few gourmand fragrances but I love this fragrance. I love the Floral Street brand and own four full size bottles, but I will not be purchasing a full size bottle of this simply because my perfume collection has grown to the point where I don't have the space for a "special occasion" fragrance that I wouldn't wear more than a few times a season. But if I was still a single girl I would absolutely buy this.

Ylang Ylang Espresso
I blind bought this perfume and wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’m always up for an adventure! I’m absolutely addicted to this scent.. and I just want to wear it every time I go out, regardless of the occasion :) When you first spray it, you can definitely smell a strong tangerine spicy scent. But it then settles into a more subtle and addictive scent of flower vanilla ylang ylang like. It’s intoxicating and lovely. Spicy and captivating. I just love it! And don’t really find it a heavy or old ladies scent. On the contrary, I find it rather sexy. This will definitely be one of my forever perfumes.

Headache inducing sadly
I love this scent on first sniff. However, I get a headache when using Floral Street fragrances. If you have a sensitivity in the same way then maybe sample first before buying a full size. The full size bottle is very pretty - but a bit bulky overall.
