Lovely
Bought this in shade Blush as I was so impressed with the Embrace gloss in Blush that I bought recently. Fantastic pigment, long lasting and has a glamorous feel to it. Lovely luxurious packaging with a magnetic closure. Such a great colour range as well. Would highly recommend.

My go to lipstick
This is my second tube of Velvet Muse. I first bought it when it was initially released by Lisa and it became the “my lips but better” for me. Even with all the other gorgeous shades released since I had to have this one back in my makeup bag! Velvet but creamy, smoky rose without being dusty. Very sophisticated and a pleasure to wear. It lasts a few hours on me before I need to reapply. I use this on my cheeks too. As a very fair skinned olive girlie who struggles to find stuff that really works with my undertone, this is a winner! Brings my face to life without being overly bright.

A VERY bright red
Even though I like a red lipstick this was too much for me. It is very very bright. The texture is great and I imagine it is long lasting but didn’t leave it on long enough to find out. Unfortunately I have tried it so can’t return it. If you like a really bright red this might be for you.

Nice formula if you enjoy a bold look
I’ve got several of Lisa’s matte lipsticks – I was drawn to the velvet effect bullets and promise of a matte but not flat finish. The colours are gorgeous and nuanced, the packaging chic and weighty, and I love that there is no added fragrance. My lips are chronically dry, and I think the formula just doesn’t work for somebody who likes to wear their lipstick in a more subtle way, cos you only really get the hydration if you apply this in a thicker layer – then it seems to coat the lips. But a bold look isn’t for everybody, so sadly this formula isn’t my fave (the Sisley, however, are amazing for slightly dry, mature lips). I think the only shade I’d repurchase is Muse cos it is so unusual.

Myth - farewell to you
Unfortunately soon to be discontinued, Velvet Myth is a gorgeous shade of mulberry, with just enough blue in it to make the teeth look whiter and just enough red to make it a bright, vivid colour. Since I have quite a bit of a lipstick collection, I don't normally repurchase the same one, but I guess some rules are meant to be broken, especially since I burned through the first one in record time. As the shade is being discontinued, I have a fresh new one, still in its packaging just waiting to be enjoyed.
