The Hourglass Unlocked Soft Matte Lipstick is pretty good, scoring a 3 out of 5. It goes on smoothly and has a nice matte finish. The color payoff is decent, and it lasts a reasonable amount of time without constant touch-ups. The packaging is sleek and adds a touch of elegance. Overall, it's a solid choice for a matte lipstick, but there might be other options out there with a bit more wow factor!
good coverage
I bought this in the tulip shade, which is a nice day time colour. It has good coverage, fairly long wearing and this works well with the Flaunt 2 lipliner. Perhaps a little bit on the matt side for me personally, but I like the fact that Hourglass is a cruelty free brand, so I would buy again and use a little bit of clear balm over this instead.

Lasting luxury for lips
The first plus that drew me to this brand and range of lipstick was the choice of nude or near nude shades, as I was buying for an elderly mother. But the texture is lovely too, and she now swears by this option. It glides on easily and stays put. The packaging helps too! Gold stars.

It’s ok
This is just an ok product, in my opinion not worth the price tag . Firstly, the name of the colour and the actual colour do not match up. Whilst the formula is quite hydrating for a matte lipstick, it does not have any staying power. Just ok for me but will not repurchase.

I bought the shade peony in this lipstick and it is the most gorgeous nude shade that will go with all skin tones. The formula is fab and it isn’t drying at all compared to other matte lipsticks, definitely worth the price. Hourglass never fails to impress me with their products, I own a fair bit from them and absolutely love it all!
