Why Augustinus Bader Face Oil Is Worth Every Penny

As someone with oily skin, no matter how many dermatologists tell me otherwise, I’m always apprehensive about using oils. I live in fear that I’ll breakout. However, in the name of work and as Augustinus Bader has yet to formulate a product I don’t like, I put Augustinus Bader The Face Oil, £76.00 to the test. Here’s what I thought…
It’s Jam-Packed With TFC8®
The Trigger Factor Complex, or TFC8®, is the magic ingredient in all of the Augustinus Bader products. Without getting too science-y, the complex contains amino acids, vitamins and nutrients that are naturally found in our skin to help supercharge our body’s repair and renewal processes. The result is softer, smoother, plumper looking skin that I’d previously only associated with the days that follow a facial.
It Doesn’t Feel Greasy
After using this for just over six weeks intermittently with Augustinus Bader The Cream, £150.00, I know that three drops of this oil is the perfect amount for my face and neck. I use any leftovers on the back on my hands. While the gorgeous golden elixir has a rich texture initially once you warm in up in your hands and start massaging it in, it melts into your skin. While some heavier oils can sit on the surface on your skin and leave it feeling greasy, this one absorbs after about two minutes of vigorous massage.
It Can Be Mixed With Your Foundation
If your skin is on the drier side and you find that makeup can exacerbate things, add one drop of this oil into your foundation. It’s a trick that plenty of makeup artists employ, especially during the winter months. While my oily skin doesn’t need this, I have been experimenting with warming up a drop with my fingers and pressing it onto my cheekbones after I’ve applied my . It gives your skin that glow-from-within look.
It’s Suitable For All Skin Types (Including Oily!)
I thought I’d save the best until last; I haven’t had an acne breakout and my skin isn’t oilier since using The Facial Oil. In fact, if anything it feels more hydrated and plumper than before. While this could be down to the combination of TFC8® and massage, face oils are also championed for their ability to lock-in water and nutrients. My top tip would be to use this at night (unless you’re using the foundation hack) and as the final step in your routine.
