Softer lips
I just started using this new Laneige lip treatment and instantly noticed how much softer it leaves your lips which is great if you have dry lips! Really good for the winter where your skin is a lot drier! It is on the thicker and sticker side but not so much an issue if your lips need intense hydration

Smoothing night treatment
This formula is a more sticky/gummy than the lip sleeping masks but on application I think this helps them to really lock in. After applying if you rub your lips together it takes the tackiness away

Laneige strikes again
Love it. I have the watermelon lip mask which I swear by, therefore wanted to give this a try. The packaging is stunning, though it was only upon reading others reviews that I saw the little light pink circle actually pulls out and is an applicator! Brilliant packaging design. Super chic and a great size for a hand bag. The consistency is thicker than the sleep mask. I think I’d actually swap the two around, and use this as a sleep mask and the sleep mask as a day treatment. It is high gloss, but I personally really like that. I’ve had this on for around half an hour and I can feel it’s working and doing something to my lips which I love. It has tiny beads in it, which upon first glance I thought were going to be exfoliators, but they are so small they don’t do that, so I’m not sure what benefit they add - equally I love it. 10/10, I’ll likely buy this again. A hard yes on all of the Laneige lip products - best on the market in my opinion.

Wanted to love, but …
I love the Laneige night masks so was really looking forward to trying this. I like the shape of the container and the special slot for the applicator. I like the almost mirror-like tint it leaves on the lips. It also has a nice flavor, of bubblegum and mint. However, the negatives outweigh the positives for me. It is very thick and took a lot of trial and error to get the right amount, so my lips don’t look completely slathered in balm. Even when only using a small amount, it’s very sticky, which I find annoying. I don’t find that it wears well under lipstick as it’s so sticky and just mixes in with the lipstick rather than allowing the color to sit on top. I also don’t find it particularly hydrating or plumping. I like wearing it on days when I’m not wearing lipstick, but might eventually start using it as a night mask to get rid of it. Overall, I find the original Laneige night masks better.
